How you can help Australia’s youth
We need your help to extend our reach and provide more opportunities for young people in low socioeconomic regions across Australia. NISEP is a not-for-profit program, and we fully fund our student leaders’ participation costs. We need funding and new partners to help sustain and grow our program.
We are looking for visionary, values-driven collaborators and are interested to talk to:

– Charitable and philanthropic bodies
– Community Groups
– High Schools
– STEM Outreach Groups and Organisations
– Indigenous Outreach Programs
Universities
We are looking to expand our reach through new university partners. NISEP has a strong history of collaboration that has seen it develop into an innovative, sustainable and scalable model of engagement with proven benefits for Indigenous youth and their communities.
NISEP has been adapted into a social franchise model so as to enable you to deliver the program through your university. We can provide you with the following assistance:
– Face to face training
– Resources – e.g. demonstrator handbook, risk assessments and safety documents, frameworks for events
– Assistance and advice on connecting with schools, communities and collaborators
– Collection and collation of evaluative data for impact assessment and potential research publications
– Connections with our network of STEM collaborators
– Ongoing support from NISEP team
We are happy to assist you in identifying and speaking with university groups/individuals who will help the successful implementation of NISEP at your university, such as outreach, Indigenous and widening participation departments/units. Please contact us for more information:
Businesses
We are looking for business partners interested in providing funding for the program and/or to be involved in our events as activity providers. If you are a business in a STEM related field, then please feel free to contact us to see how your team can be involved in providing activities that showcase your area and become mentors for the students involved in NISEP.
Through our events you can gain significant community and media exposure. There is also the potential to increase participation rates in your traineeship and other programs by building positive relationships with our students.
